Chambers Communications Corp and Journal Broadcast Group Standardizes on Bitcentral’s Précis

Las Vegas, NV – Bitcentral Inc., a leading provider of video content management and distribution solutions to the broadcast market, announced today that Chambers Communications Corporation and Journal Broadcast Group have purchased and will standardize on their Précis News Production System.

Bitcentral’s Précis News Production System is a non-proprietary, fully turnkey play-to-air digital news management system. The all file-based workflow solution is browser based, highly scalable, with virtually no limits on the number of users that can access the system. The system delivers an integrated on-line archive with inexpensive commodity storage for SD or HD video content.

The Chambers Communications Corporation has placed two firm orders with an option for a third station to go live with Précis before the end of this year. The Chambers stations are:

KEZI 9 ABC located in Eugene, OR
KDRV 12 ABC located in Medford, OR
KOHD 51 ABC located in Bend, OR

Similarly, Journal Broadcast Group, a subsidiary of Journal Communications, Inc., owns and operates dozens of radio and television stations nationwide. They are among others on a growing list to realize how Précis has redefined their workflow by providing total integrated management of all their video assets from acquisition to air. The Journal stations are:

WTMJ 4 NBC located in Milwaukee, WI
KTNV 13 ABC located in Las Vegas, NV
WFTX 36 FOX located in Cape Coral, FL
WGBA 26 NBC located in Green Bay, WI
KGUN 9 ABC located in Tucson, AZ
KMTV 3 CBS located in Omaha, NE
WSYM 47 FOX located in Lansing, MI
KIVI 6 ABC located in Nampa, ID
KMIR 36 NBC located in Palm Desert, CA
