Optiva: Configurable Platforms
The new Optiva™ Series of digital fiber optic transmission systems are designed entirely by you. They are built to accommodate your precise video, audio and data transport needs. Almost any configuration is available, all over one fiber.
The Optiva™ Series of digital fiber optic transmission systems accomodate anywhere from 1-128 Composite Video channels over one fiber. 10-bit broadcast quality digital transmission is standard with our units. Almost any configuration is available.
The Optiva™ Series of digital fiber optic transmission systems accomodate anywhere from 1-128 uncompressed Serial Digital Interface (SDI) Video channels over one fiber
The Optiva™ Series of digital fiber optic transmission systems accomodate anywhere from 1-16 uncompressed HD-SDI Video channels (per SMPTE 292) over one fiber. Each video input will also accept uncompressed SDI Video at 270 Mbps (per SMPTE 259).
The Optiva™ Series of digital fiber optic transmission systems accomodate anywhere from 1-128 Asynchronous Serial Interface (ASI) Video channels over one fiber.
Optiva™ systems utilize daisy-chain multiplexing to optimize bandwidth allocation. Optical multiplexing can be integrated to enable increased channel requirements. All cards are hot-swappable and can be housed in a 19” rack solution (3RU or 1RU) or as stand alone units using a number of different ruggedized Desk Top Card Racks (DTCRs)
The Optiva™ Series of digital fiber optic transmission systems accomodate anywhere from 1-64 Analog Audio channels from one 3RU chassis. Up to 1,024 channels can be transported over one fiber.
Network Managment
In modern networks, various types of equipment are installed. The OptivaView™ SNMP Management Suite makes remote management simple in its utilization of SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) offering a uniform software platform for efficient integration with other devices operating alongside Opticomm’s Optiva™ Platform.
The LinxView™ Software greatly simplifies configuration management. Configurations can be saved and restored with ease. LinxView™ also provides the user with real-time monitoring of the unit's chassis and port cards

The Optilinx™ Control Center is a control device compatible with the Optilinx™ OLX-3000 optical switch. It is the perfect solution for applications that require a clean, professional and easy to use interface to optical switching in real-time. Each unit comes with the OCC-3000 software control module (designed for touch screen control of the OLX-3000 optical switch).

SDI & HD-SDI
The OTS-1SD provides for the digital transmission of 1 Channel of uncompressed SDI Video, at absolute broadcast quality.
The OTS-1HD provides for the digital transmission of 1 Channel of uncompressed HD-SDI Video, at absolute broadcast quality.
The Opticomm HD-SDI Tri-Level Sync Generator accepts an input of an uncompressed HD-SDI signal at 1.485Gbps (per SMPTE 292) and outputs a locally generated genlocked Tri-Level Sync reference signal as well as a loopback of the HD-SDI input.
Composite Video, Audio, & Data
The OTS-1V provides for the digital transmission of 1 Channel of Composite Video. All units come in an insert card version. The cards can be inserted into our 16-slot, 19” rack-mountable card cage (CC-16-100) or one of our smaller Optiva™ Desktop Card Racks (DTCR Series).

The OTS-2V4A provides for the digital transmission of 2 Channels of Composite Video and 4 Channels of Analog Audio.
The FMV-563 is a simplex Video transmission system with two simplex Audio ports, ideal for CCTV cameras and traffic surveillance. Status indicators on Video, Sync, Data, carrier detect, voltage, temperature, and optical levels are monitored via LEDs.
Opticomm's FDV Series is a family of digitally encoded transmission systems that can transport a variety of multiple channels of analog video, audio, and data feeds. The systems digitally transport the signals over fiber optical cable for exceptional transmission quality.
The MMV-110 Mini is an Intensity Modulated (IM), LED-based fiber optic Video transmission system with Automatic Gain Control (AGC) and an LED status monitor. It is NTSC, PAL and SECAM compatible, ideal for the extension of a B&W or color CCTV camera.
Audio/FSK/Intercom
The OTS-4A provides for the digital transmission of 4 Channels of Analog Audio. All units come in an insert card version. The cards can be inserted into our 16-slot, 19” rack-mountable card cage (CC-16-100) or one of our smaller Optiva™ Desktop Card Racks (DTCR Series).

The Opticomm FMV-100K System is a duplex analog fiber optic transmission system. The system is capable of transmitting an Analog FSK signal at a system bandwidth between 10Hz and 100KHz. The FMV-100K/TR-T50R10-FC-IC transmits at 1550nm and receives at 1510nm wavelengths.
The DMX-800 fiber optic multiplexer series can transmit four, eight or sixteen channels of high fidelity Intercom Audio or FSK analog to digital signals up to 3Km over duplex multimode fiber, and 25 Km over singlemode fiber system.
Data (Ethernet/Serial/USB)
The DS-105TR is a Fiber Optic Ethernet transceiver. It is compatible with a vast array of LAN devices, and supports IEEE 802.3 FOIRL protocol. Data rates of up to 10Mbps are supported. The DS-105TR allows users to attach Ethernet segments together, or to connect an Ethernet transceiver to a workstation.
The OTS-1ETR provides for the digital transmission of 1 Channel of 10/100 Ethernet. All units come in an insert card version. The cards can be inserted into our 16-slot, 19” rack-mountable card cage (CC-16-100) or one of our smaller Optiva™ Desktop Card Racks (DTCR Series).

The DS-120MDR multi-drop fiber optical data sets are designed to connect multiple equipment with the RS- 232/422/485 2- or 4-wire interface. The data sets
consist of one Master unit and at least one Slave. Both Master and Slave units provide one port with Async data rates up to 125 Kbps NRZ, and 17/8” x 17” character LCD status display on any remote unit, acheiving full diagnostics with no PC. The Master unit has one optical channel and the Slave unit has two optical channels—A and B.
The DMX-781 Micro is a full duplex fiber optic data link capable of transmitting between 4 and 8 channels of Async/Sync RS-232 Data with control or with no control at a rate of up to 38.4Kbps per channel. Order in banks of four. LED indicators are provided for PWR, and a TX and RX for each individual channel.

The USB-511 extends USB 1.1 connections up to 500 meters (1650 ft.) over multimode fiber, providing support for up to four (4) USB devices.

RGB/VGA/DVI
The RGB-4004 is a single-fiber, laser-based extender offering RGB H/V (VGA) video with stereo audio. It features precision color calibration, uncompressed signal transport, and auto-negotiation, creating an optimal experience.
The RAM-9120 is a Amplitude Modulated (AM), LED- or Laser-based monochrome-compatible Video transmission system with Sync accepted on green. It is ideal for the extension of any high resolution Video signal such as a CAD / CAM graphics workstation. Units come with a built-in Automatic Gain Control (AGC) to maintain constant Video output for each color, and a status indicator for Power On
The DVI-1000 system extends to 1000 meters (3280 feet) the distance permitted for the placement of a digital monitor or projector away from the controlling computer without loss of resolution. Traditional copper cables are limited to 3 meters (9.84 feet). Each DVI-1000 system consists of a transmitter and a receiver connected by a single multi-mode fiber.
CATV/RF & L Band
Optiva™ L-band fiber optic intra-facility links are a high-performance, cost-effective alternative to coaxial cable.  They provide much longer transmission distances than copper cables, which simplify network design, ease   installation and even enhance immunity from EMI, RFI  and lightning. These transmitters and receivers take the best RF design features of Emcore’s extensive families of products and combine them into a compact package compatible with the Optiva™ OT-CC-16 chassis.
The Model RFV-3000 3 GHz L-Band Optical Transport System is a robust, cost-effective and integrated family of product series which provides a high-performance singlemode fiber alternative to coaxial cable for transmission of 850 MHz to 3000 MHz RF signals in a wide variety of communications applications, including L-Band satellite antenna remoting, trunking radio, telemetry tracking and time & frequency reference distribution.
Optical Switching, Routing, and Redundancy
The OptiLinx™ OLX-1000 is a versatile, multi-purpose, non-blocking transparent optical switch that provides high-speed switching between ports with minimal effect on overall network latency. The OLX series is capable of switching digital signals up to 3.2 Gbps with any of its 16 ports, all in a compact 1RU chassis.
The 8-port SFP interface blade is easily inserted into the OLX-1000 Mainframe Optical Switch, accommodating any standard Small Form Pluggable (SFP) laser for absolute flexibility, inventory control, and reduced  down-time.
The GEB-4800-IC port blade supports 10 Megabit, 100 Megabit, and 1 Gigabit Ethernet speeds. Each port blade can accept 48 RJ-45 (CAT5) cables directly. Incoming copper signals can be routed out to SFP port cards (Models SFPB-4800-IC and SFPB-4800-RJ-IC) for media conversion to optical. The GEB-4800-IC supports auto speed negotiation and auto cable re-wiring.

Opticomm offers a range of Small Form Pluggable (SFP) transceiver modules for use with a variety of Opticomm systems. When integrated with Opticomm systems, SFPs can be used to provide for optical wavelength conversion, switching, routing, optical budget amplification, and simply to accommodate requirements for additional optical ports.
Passive Optical Solutions
The MDM-7000 is a series of multiplexers which combine a number of different multiplexing techniques to provide an overall cost efficient and upgradeable customized multi-channel, single-fiber solution. Each MDM-7000 product is ideal for the transmission of multiple channels of Video with Audio and/or Data, where only a minimum number of fiber optic cable is available.
The OSP-201 enables the splitting of an optical signal onto two separate optical fibers at power ratios of 50/50, 70/30 and 90/10. With the OSP-201, you are able to input a fiber strand at a specified wavelength and output two fibers, each at the same designated wavelength. Power loss is specified by the relevant ratio of the OSP-201 version .
Enclosures, Racks, & Frames
The Optiva™ OT-CC-4-1U frame is a ruggedized housing unit that accepts any Optiva™ fiber optic insert card. The mounting ears enable easy mounting into a standard 19” rack. Card loading, as well as electrical and optical connections, are accessed from the back.
The DTCR series is crafted from ruggedized aluminum housing to fit all Optiva™ fiber optic insert cards. The regulated switching power supply offered with the DTCR-4 has short circuit protection, and an input operating voltage of 85-265 VAC.
The CC-18 Frame is a ruggedized aluminum housing unit that accepts many of our fiber optic interface cards. The mounting ears are reversible, so that card loading, as well as electrical and optical connections, can be accessed from the front or back. The regulated switching power supply has short circuit protection, and an input operating voltage of 87-264 VAC.
Power Supplies & Accessories
The FA-2000 Series are three fan module trays made to fit 19” standard EIA frames and can be positioned in high heat generating locations.
The PS-100 is a 100 Watt universal power supply built to function within the Opticomm CC-16 or CC-16B 19” 3RU rack-mountable chassis. Each chassis is designed to accommodate up to two redundant PS-100 units.
The XLR-12-3-PP serves as connection point between Micro DB 25 pin connectors (typically used on the Opticomm Optiva™ Series of products) to the XLR connector.
Opticomm offers a number of different cables for connection to and from pin connectors located on Opticomm systems. The required pig tail is included with each Opticomm system at no charge. Additional pig-tails can be ordered upon request. Below are the types of pig tail cables used with Opticomm systems.
The Opticomm™ FORC-404 offers tactical fiber optic connectors for deployable fiber optic communication requirements. These connectors are designed to be the industry's most rugged connector providing easy maintenance and the best possible optical performance.
