The Radio Photon Antenna is a new type of transmitting antenna for use solely in the distribution of an AM (Amplitude Modulation) radio signal. It is an improvement and evolution from the earlier Crossed Field Antenna. It is a relatively small device, typically no more than three per-cent of the size of a comparable tower, and it has no ground system. It requires no lighting or painting of the sort mandated by towers that present an aircraft hazard. Because it is such a small device, guying requirements are virtually non-existent. Its small size also makes it much less vulnerable to wind or ice damage, and of course, there is virtually no aircraft or terrorism hazard.
